Stored cross-site scripting via uploaded HTML files
Published Jul 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in PrestaShop 1.7.6.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a customer's browser via an HTML upload. The Catalog file-upload path accepts an HTML file containing script without content checks and serves it as product content, causing the script to run when opened. Back-office privileges are required to upload the file, and a customer must click it; the demonstrated impact is cookie theft or browser-side actions.
