Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Jenkins Compact Columns Plugin 1.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through job descriptions. Tooltip rendering inserts the unprocessed job description instead of applying Jenkins's configured markup formatter. Exploitation requires Job/Configure permission and a victim to view the affected tooltip, causing script execution in that victim's browser.
