Credential disclosure via sensitive-data logging
Published Jul 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Sensitive-data logging in Motorola CX2 firmware 1.0.2 Build 20190508 Rel.97360n allows attackers to read administrator credentials. The management and security routines write password-change requests, plaintext administrator passwords, and generated private keys into logs included in the downloadable tar archive. Disclosure requires retrieval of that archive; the published demonstration combines this flaw with separate login and syslog-download authentication bypasses.
