Browser script execution via stored web_copyright content
Published Aug 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the web_copyright field of EyouCMS 1.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary scripts in a viewer's browser. The application stores attacker-supplied web_copyright content and later renders it as active script or HTML rather than inert text. Exploitation requires authenticated access to modify the field and a user to view the affected page, exposing or changing data available to that browser session.
