Authenticated command execution via unsanitized backup filename
Published Jun 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in IBOS Open 4.5.4 database backup allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted filename. Database.php interpolates the attacker-controlled dumpFile value into a mysqldump shell command after incomplete character filtering. Access to the administrative database-backup interface is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the web application process privileges.
