Reflected XSS via unescaped form validation output
Published Apr 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Jenkins Project's AWSEB Deployment 0.3.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via form validation. The plugin's doCheck and doValidate endpoints place attacker-controlled parameter values into validation responses without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires a victim with Jenkins access to follow a crafted request, allowing script to run in that victim's browser context.
