Secret extraction and SSRF via external entities
Published Mar 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XXE in Jenkins Project RapidDeploy Plugin 4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to extract controller secrets via crafted XML. The deployment package build and post-build steps pass attacker-controlled input files to an XML parser that resolves external entities. Control of a step input file is required; exploitation can also make controller-side requests or interrupt service.
