CVE-2020-2165Network attack vector

Credential exposure via plaintext configuration form

Published Mar 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Credential exposure in Jenkins Artifactory Plugin 3.6.0 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to read configured passwords. The global Jenkins configuration form decrypts stored Artifactory server passwords and sends their plaintext values to the browser instead of retaining encrypted form values. Exposure requires an administrator to load the form while a malicious browser extension, cross-site scripting flaw, or similar browser-context threat can inspect it.
