Remote code execution via directory traversal
Published Aug 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Directory traversal in Zoho ManageEngine Analytics Plus before 4350 allows remote attackers to run arbitrary code via the /zropusermgmt API. The ZDBQAREFSUBDIR parameter accepts attacker-controlled directory data and reaches file-processing logic without adequate path restriction, enabling traversal beyond the intended directory. The endpoint is remotely reachable without authentication; successful exploitation can execute attacker-chosen code with the service account's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
