Credential exposure via plaintext configuration form
Published Mar 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cleartext transmission in Jenkins OpenShift Deployer Plugin 1.2.0 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to read configured credentials. The global configuration form returns OpenShift credentials in plaintext even though its controller XML file stores them encrypted. Exposure requires a configured credential and a browser extension, XSS flaw, or similar access to the form response.
