Unauthenticated PHP code execution via avatar upload
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in FeehiCMS 2.0.8 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through the head-image upload. The backend avatar upload relies on client-side JavaScript for filename-suffix validation, so a modified request stores executable PHP and returns its web path. No credentials or user interaction are required, and requesting the returned path executes the uploaded code with the web server's privileges.
