CVE-2020-2149Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via plaintext configuration form

Published Mar 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cleartext credential exposure in Jenkins Repository Connector Plugin 1.2.6 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to read configured secrets. The global configuration form places decrypted repository credentials into plaintext form fields even though the controller stores them encrypted on disk. Exposure requires an administrator to open the form while hostile browser code, such as an extension or cross-site scripting payload, can read it; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
