Connection interception via unvalidated SSH host keys
Published Mar 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Missing SSH host-key validation in Jenkins Mac Plugin 1.1.0 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept agent connections. The plugin's SSH connection setup accepts the presented server identity without validating its host key against a trusted value. An attacker positioned between the Jenkins controller and a configured Mac Cloud host can impersonate the agent endpoint and intercept connection traffic.
