Secret extraction or SSRF via external entities
Published Mar 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XXE in Jenkins Rundeck Plugin 3.6.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read controller secrets or send server-side requests. The plugin passes attacker-controlled request XML to a parser without disabling DTD processing or external entity resolution. Overall/Read access is required, and successful exploitation exposes controller data or uses the controller to reach another server.
