Stored XSS via unsanitized E-Mail field
Published Aug 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in PopojiCMS 1.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts via a crafted E-Mail field. The /admin.php?mod=user&act=addnew handler stores the E-Mail value without adequate output encoding, and the payload executes when user information is viewed. Exploitation requires the attacker to add a user and a victim to open the affected page; execution occurs in the victim's browser context.
