Remote code execution via PHP avatar upload
Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Feehi CMS 2.0.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted PHP file. The backend self-update avatar path accepts a PHP-suffixed upload as an image and stores it where the web server can execute it. Published scoring treats the request as unauthenticated and requiring no user interaction; successful exploitation runs PHP with the web application's privileges.
