CVE-2020-2129

Credential disclosure via plaintext configuration storage

Published Feb 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Insufficient credential protection in Jenkins Eagle Tester Plugin 1.0.9 and earlier allows local users to read a stored password. The plugin writes the password as plaintext to com.bmc.rpd.jenkins.plugin.bmcrpd.configuration.RPDPluginConfiguration.xml instead of using protected credential storage. Exposure requires access to the Jenkins controller filesystem and permits disclosure of the configured service credential.
