Credential disclosure via plaintext job configuration storage
Published Feb 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Credential exposure in Jenkins Project Dynamic Extended Choice Parameter Plugin 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read SVN passwords. The plugin writes the configured Subversion password unencrypted into each affected job's config.xml file on the Jenkins controller. Job/ExtendedRead access exposes the file remotely, while local controller file-system access exposes the same credential directly.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
