Administrator-session script execution via unfiltered email content
Published Jan 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in RockOA 1.9.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The webmain/flow/input/mode_emailmAction.php email-flow handler accepts attacker-controlled content without strict filtering before presenting it to the administrator. A privileged RockOA account and administrator interaction are required; successful exploitation exposes or changes data reachable through the administrator's browser session.
