Authenticated SQL execution via unsanitized langconfig parameter
Published Jul 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in MetInfo 7.0.0 beta allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the language administration endpoint. The doAddLanguage action passes the langconfig query parameter into a database query without neutralizing a UNION payload, producing an attacker-controlled time delay. Administrator access is required, and successful exploitation permits database reads or changes and can interrupt service within the database account's privileges.
