Authenticated SQL execution via injectable log identifier
Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in MetInfo 7.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the administrative log-deletion endpoint. The dodel handler in logs/index.class.php incorporates attacker-controlled id[0] content into a database statement, as demonstrated by a time-delay payload. Reachability requires a valid administrative session and access to the background log-deletion action; successful injection permits database reads, changes, or delayed query execution.
