Sensitive information disclosure via stored contact XSS
Published Apr 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in X2CRM 7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive information via crafted contact names. The contacts/create form stores unsanitized First Name and Last Name values, which execute as script when rendered on pages containing the activity feed. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and a victim to view the affected contact or activity content; the documented impact is script execution and information disclosure.
