CVE-2020-2107Network attack vector

Proxy password disclosure via plaintext job configuration

Published Jan 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Credential exposure in Jenkins Fortify Plugin 19.1.29 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read proxy passwords from job configuration. The plugin serializes the proxy server password into each affected job's config.xml file without encryption, leaving the secret as readable configuration data. Extended Read permission exposes the file through Jenkins, while local controller-filesystem access exposes the same password directly.
