Database compromise via raw SQL interpolation
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
SQL injection in PublicCMS 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read, modify, or delete database data through the sql parameter. SysSiteAdminController.execSql passes the parameter to MyBatis SqlMapper statements that interpolate it directly rather than bind it, allowing attacker-controlled SQL to execute. The demonstrated request requires an administrative session and CSRF token; database dumping is proven, while arbitrary code execution is reported but not demonstrated.
