Authenticated database query execution via unfiltered search parameter
Published Sep 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in GilaCMS 1.11.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute injected SQL and read results through a crafted search query. The cm.php list_rowsAction passes the unfiltered $_GET array into list_rows, which forwards it to gTable::getRows for query construction. Administrator access is required; the published proof of concept injects UNION SELECT through the search parameter and returns attacker-chosen query output.
