CVE-2020-20672Public exploit

Server-side code execution via unrestricted PHP upload

Published Sep 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in KiteCMS 1.1 allows context-dependent attackers to execute server-side code through a crafted PHP file. The /admin/upload/uploadfile endpoint accepts a PHP payload after upload options are changed and stores it where the web server can execute it. The published proof requires an administrator's browser to process a CSRF request that changes the upload policy before the PHP payload is submitted.
