Administrator account deletion via forged GET requests
Published Sep 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Maccms 10 allows remote attackers to delete administrator accounts through an authenticated administrator's browser. The user-deletion route processes state-changing GET requests authenticated by the browser session without verifying administrator intent. An administrator must remain signed in and open an attacker-controlled page; deleting every administrator prevents further administrative logins.
