Unauthenticated SQL injection via fm[auser] parameter
Published Jun 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in imcat 5.2 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data through fm[auser] in product-review requests. The product-review handler in root/plus/coms/add_coms.php permits the database to evaluate attacker-supplied SQL expressions in fm[auser], including error-based EXTRACTVALUE probes. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the public proof of concept demonstrates disclosure of database metadata.
