Reflected script execution via article-search keyword
Published Sep 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in WTCMS 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser via article search. The background-article search page reflects keyword input into HTML without neutralizing an injected img element and onerror handler. Access to the administrative article-search function and user interaction are required, limiting the demonstrated effect to script execution in the viewing browser.
