Arbitrary SQL execution via unchecked recharge balance
Published Feb 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in CMSWing 1.3.8 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary SQL through a crafted balance value. The rechargeAction function passes the unchecked data.balance value to the database increment operation, allowing SQL syntax to alter the query. Access to the administrative user-recharge action is required; the demonstrated time-based payload executes in the application's database context.
