SQL injection via unchecked detail parameter
Published Feb 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in CMSWing 1.3.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via crafted detail parameters. The updateAction function in cmswing/src/controller/admin/action.js passes POSTed data to the action model without validating the detail field, allowing injected SQL when the related user behavior is triggered. The published report demonstrates execution through the administrative interface and article creation workflow; database confidentiality, integrity, and availability can be affected.
