Authenticated graphing-process crash via crafted packet
Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in MikroTik RouterOS 6.44.6 allows remote authenticated users to crash the graphing process via a crafted packet. The /nova/bin/graphing process mishandles the packet and dereferences a NULL pointer; the disclosure does not identify the malformed field or parsing routine. Authenticated access is required, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to interruption of the graphing process rather than a full device reboot.
