Reflected script execution via unescaped ac parameter
Published Sep 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in EARCLINK ESPCMS-P8 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted ac parameter. espcms_web\espcms_load.php passes the ac value into espcms_message_err(), where vsprintf inserts it unescaped into an HTML error body. A victim must open the crafted URL; the resulting script runs in the ESPCMS-P8 origin and can read or alter browser-accessible page data.
