Stored script execution via mailbox username rendering
Published Sep 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in WUZHI CMS 4.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser via a mailbox username. The mail server settings workflow stores the username and later renders it without neutralizing HTML or event-handler markup. Access to system settings is required to save the payload, which executes when an administrator views the affected page and permits browser-context data access or actions.
