Authenticated command execution via unsanitized clone URL
Published Jul 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in MITRE CALDERA Sandcat 2.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a clone URL. The Sandcat GUI clone field accepts shell metacharacters, causing a backtick-delimited command in the submitted URL to execute on the server. Access to the CALDERA web interface is required, and successful injection permits arbitrary commands or services.
