Unauthenticated PHP code execution via state-driven inclusion
Published Jun 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
File inclusion in MiniCMS 1.9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through the post-edit.php endpoint. The handler copies data['state'] into post_old_state, embeds it in an index-file path, and passes that path to require without constraining traversal. Exploitation requires PHP before 5.3.4 with magic_quotes_gpc disabled; successful inclusion executes attacker-controlled PHP on the server.
