Uncontrolled resource consumption in Directus API 2.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service with repeated HTTP requests. The API reprocesses large bursts of identical requests without an anti-automation control, allowing request work to exhaust server resources. A legitimate authenticated account is required, and the demonstrated consequence is application unavailability rather than data access or modification.
