SYSTEM privilege escalation via hardcoded script execution

External path control in all versions of Secdo for Windows allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges through a planted script. Secdo checks a hardcoded location and executes a script found there without ensuring that the file and its parent path are trusted. The local user needs create-folder or append-data rights at the Windows system-drive root, and the path must be absent or writable; successful execution grants system privileges.
