Token theft via unchecked selfdestruct transfer target
Published Sep 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper address verification in ICOVO 1.0 allows remote attackers to steal victim tokens through a crafted smart-contract call. The selfdestructs() function transfers a contract's balance without checking the transfer target against the transaction address. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a malicious contract can redirect the balance to an attacker-controlled address.
