CVE-2020-19695Public exploit

Runtime crash via uninitialized slice elements

Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025

Memory-safety flaw in NGINX njs before 0.3.4 allows context-dependent attackers to crash the runtime with crafted JavaScript. Array.prototype.slice leaves elements uninitialized when invoked on a primitive value, and njs_object_property dereferences the resulting null state. The upstream reproduction requires crafted JavaScript to run in njs and demonstrates an AddressSanitizer-detected crash; public evidence does not establish remote code execution.
