Stored script execution via unsanitized configMap parameters
Published Sep 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Yellowfin Business Intelligence 7.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through the administrative UI. MIAdminStyles.i4 accepts attacker-controlled configMap parameters and stores them without neutralizing active content before the administrative UI renders the values. Low-privileged application access and a second user's interaction with the affected UI are required; successful exploitation reads or modifies data in that user's browser session.
