CVE-2020-1958Network attack vector

Authentication bypass and LDAP disclosure via filter injection

Published Apr 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

LDAP injection in Apache Druid 0.17.0 allows remote attackers to bypass user filtering and read LDAP attributes through Druid APIs. LDAPCredentialsValidator inserts the supplied username into the configured userSearch filter without escaping LDAP metacharacters. LDAP authentication must be enabled; role authorization can restrict API access, but attribute disclosure requires no valid LDAP account and is limited to data visible to Druid.
