CVE-2020-1956Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unsanitized project name

Published May 22, 2020 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

OS command injection in Apache Kylin 2.3.0 through 2.6.5 and 3.0 prereleases through 3.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. CubeService.migrateCube() inserts the REST path's project name and mutable configuration values into a kylin.sh command string without validating them before execution. Exploitation requires Management or Administrator project permissions and enabled automatic cube migration, after which injected commands run on the Kylin server.
