Browser script execution via unencoded installer error
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in qdPM 9.1 allows remote attackers to execute browser-side script via the installer database configuration page. The database_config.php module inserts the db_error query parameter into the HTML response without filtering or output encoding. A victim must open a crafted installer URL, after which the script runs in the qdPM origin and can read or modify data available to that browser session.
