Reflected XSS via unescaped URL selector
Published Apr 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Apache Sling CMS App 0.14.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. Administrative-console scripts insert the URL-derived Sling Selector into generated navigation elements without property escaping. An administrator must open the crafted administrative page, after which the injected script runs in that user's browser context and can read or alter data available to the console.
