Converter crash via malformed DCT stream
Published Jul 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in PDF2JSON 0.70 allows attackers to crash the converter by processing a crafted PDF file. During parsing of a malformed DCT stream, DCTStream::getChar reads one byte through a null address and terminates with SIGSEGV. The target must process the attacker-supplied document; the demonstrated consequence is termination of the conversion process.
