Script execution via double-encoded topic path
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in the /weibo/topic component of Jeesns 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary script in a user's browser. The route accepts a double-encoded script element in the topic path, then returns the decoded value as executable markup rather than neutralized text. No authentication is required, but a user must follow the crafted URL; successful execution can read or alter data available to the affected page origin.
