Stored script execution via unsanitized Weibo posts
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the /weibo/publishdata component of Jeesns 1.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in viewers' browsers. The component stores posted Weibo content without neutralizing script markup and renders that markup when subsequent users view the post. A registered account is required to submit the payload, and another user's interaction triggers code in that viewer's browser context.
