Stored script execution via unescaped group-post titles
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the /group/post component of Jeesns 1.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in viewers' browsers. The group-post flow stores a crafted title without neutralizing HTML or script markup and renders it when other users view group posts. An attacker must register and follow a group before posting; opening the affected listing triggers the payload with the viewer's application privileges.
