Reflected XSS via unescaped error message
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Jeesns 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML through a crafted error message. The /error endpoint reflects the msg query parameter into the system error message without neutralizing script or HTML markup. No authentication is required, but a user must load the crafted URL; injected code then runs in that user's browser under the Jeesns origin.
